Over the years, many people handle photographs and inevitably, they become damaged. Disintegrated edges, tears and mold can even grow on images depending on the conditions they are stored in.

Some of the most common symptoms are scratches, faded images, blemishes and stains but some images can be quite badly torn and even pieces missing!

This photo was brought to us recently and we were asked if we could “do anything with it”.  It’s the only image the owner has of himself as a boy on his father’s motorcycle outside the family home back in 1957. Brian Gray of Powerbiking now displays this image in crisp black and white in their shop display cabinet.

Extensive photo repair

You may of course have a torn photograph with or without the pieces, either way we can assess the overall damage and will repair the image in the best possible way re-creating the missing pieces from what we have already.

This old photograph of the clients father with Seve Ballesteros was extremely faded and sun bleached before we got started. After scanning the image in a high resolution .tiff file we were able to restore the detail around the hair and face.
